Challenge

Well, this challenge has been pretty challenging. Because I've reached my initial goal weight, I am finding it harder and harder to resist cheating. Cause when I get in the situation where there is a yummy treat, I think, "hey, I reached my goal, I'm ok with just staying this size..." But, I made a commitment to lose a few more pounds so I need to snap out of those thoughts and keep it together!!!! I have only cheated once per week so I"m still ok, but man has it been hard. My goal is 7 pounds and I've lost 2 so far, and it's been 3 weeks....I can do it!!!!!

Happy late new year!

Sorry for the late post, but I've not been in the blogging mood lately....here's some pics from our fun New Year's we had with Stephanie, Helen, and the little girls! Oh and one of my new headboard for our bedroom :)

Stephanie took some other cute ones, but I need to get those from her and then I'll post them.

Challenge 4 begins....

Yesterday was day one of challenge 4. IT went pretty well, I only had one moment where I almost ate something illegal. I feel like I've been doing these challenges for so long that it's just second nature, so I don't really have too many weak moments anymore...BUT these past 2 weeks I have had lots of fun having a few bites of decadent things....so Monday I had to reset my mind and get back to normal. Luckily, I didn't go too overboard and gain any weight over the holidays!! Whew! I was really worried on Sunday when I weighed myself to see what my real starting weight is, and to my surprise it was the same as my last weigh in for challenge 3! I was so relieved.

So here we go....10 weeks, 10 cheats, and LOTS of exercise. I'm about to go jog some before I get ready for bed!!

Good luck beauties!

December happenings.....

We had a great Christmas this year.....We spent the holiday at my parents house in Houston, where it was surprisingly chilly this year. I get so excited when it actually gets cold for
Christmas! There are some Christmas's where it's 70 degrees and muggy! yuck, so this year it was nice and crisp outside. I drove down a couple of days early to hang out with my fam. Katherine and I went to see several movies, got to hang out with Tommy and talk about life, and also was able to spend some time with the parents....Very fun! We went shopping and did so well! We were able to find some tremendous deals and really didn't spend that much money because of all the sales. Here are some pics from that week...

This is me and Katherine right before we went to see a movie :)

Mark and I went home on the 26th because we had to work, but my mom and sister came up for a couple of days the next week. We had fun going to look at furniture, and found these awesome chairs! they massaged your feet, back, shoulders, and even your butt....so comfortable.

End of challenge 3!!!

I cannot believe that challenge 3 is over!!! It seemed like such a long challenge but now that it's over, it's like it flew by so quickly. This was a tough challenge just because my goal was only 8 pounds and because of my asthma and problems working out, I thought I wouldn't be able to do it. The whole steroid drama and gaining a few pounds really discouraged me, but with following the rules and REALLY watching what I put in my mouth I'm happy to say I met my goal and lost 8.5 pounds! I know it's not that much compared to the last 2 challenges. (Challenge 1= 11 lbs. Challenge 2= 9 lbs.) I am now to the goal weight that I originally said that I wanted to get to after all of my challenges. This week we had a Beauty Dinner at the beast's house (Tanna's house) It was a blast! I had never met Tanna before so it was such a wonderful evening. We were able to discuss Challenge 4 and some of the changes that will take place. I'm so excited! Here are some pics from the night.....

Tanna is on top row, very furthest right with the black and white stripped shirt. She is such an amazing inspiration, so if anyone wants to join in on the next challenge let me know and I'll let you know how to sign up. This next challenge is going to be a little more strict, so if you are prepared to be accountable and REALLY follow the rules, then I promise that you'll be happy with the results. Now that I have my asthma under control, I am going to do challenge 4 and try to lose just about 4-5 pounds, but I want to tone up more. Meaning alot more exercise!

Here are some before and after shots!

Hope everyone is having a great holiday season!!! Hopefully I'll have some cute pics to upload soon.

Thoughts.....

Lately I've been thinking alot about the past and the future. Not sure why, but maybe because I'm getting older and time seems to be passing by so fast. I have been married for 3.5 years! That is just crazy. I feel like I seriously just graduated from high school...not that I want to go back there, but time really has been on fast forward. I've been trying to enjoy the present more. Because, to be honest, I have usually been that type of person that says..."When Mark graduates from school I'll..." or "When Mark gets a full-time job..." like my life will start when those things happen. But really, in 5-10 years I know that I will be looking back on these years and miss them (I know I will love having kids and growing our family) but everyone looks back on those years they spent broke and in love and I know I'll love thinking about this time in our life. So, my new goal is to stop thinking about what a great time I'll have in the future and start enjoying these moments right now. So if you hear me complain just stop me!!!

New Washer and Dryer!!!

We finally did it! Today we went to Best Buy and purchased our very own washer and dryer. It doesn't get delivered for two weeks, but that's ok because we still need our rentals to be picked up. I was initially planning on buying the Samsung front loader, but when I went to check them out the other day I saw these and they were so much less money. So Mark and I had to decide if we wanted to spend more for the fancier ones that did the same thing ...... We decided on the top loaders that act like front loaders...weird, I know. But they are really awesome! All the benefits of a top loader, but just turned on its side. It holds more than the fancier one too!! Anyways, I'm really excited!! I will take a pic of them when I get them in a couple of weeks, but until then....here is another pic I found :)
